Trinity Lutheran Church

Description

The oldest Lutheran church in Memphis, this is also one of the oldest in the state of Tennessee. Dedicated in 1855, the church was known for decades as "The German Church" because so many of the German immigrants in the area attended services here. The vivid stained glass windows imported from Dresden, Germany, still line the interior. The church draws crowds each Christmas with festive services done entirely in German.
