Avenue Coffee Team: Jaron Weidner Becca Scaggs Why we exist: College students and their peers have become disenchanted and therefore disengaged with organized church programs. Their belief that church programs are irrelevant to their lives is the reason we need a radically different approach. Avenue Coffee's purpose is to move them towards engaging in the kingdom of God with an atmosphere that is open, creative, and conducive to conversation. Who we are: We envision an organization that uses a Coffee shop as a tool for ministry. This Coffee Shop will serve as a meeting place for study, an art gallery which serves as a place to display art of local artists, and an environment that promotes open conversation. Through these things we aim to create an environment that draws people in, allows us opportunities for evangelism and discipleship, and Glorifies and worships God through the beauty of creativity.
