If you are a writer, then you no doubt have friends and family members who say they support your writing, but have this blank look on their face when you tell them about a story you're working on. It is a look that can burrow under your skin and gnaw your nerve endings raw and frayed if you let it. I once thought it was the look of boredom or indifference, but I don't believe that anymore. I think it's just the look of someone whose mind creates thoughts and ideas in radically different ways than a writer's does. Non-writers and writers don't speak the same language. That's all. Still, it is frustrating to try to bounce your ideas off of someone and have them land with a splat, isn't it? Well, Write Club is all about some buoyancy! Put an end to that frustration, at least for a couple of hours, by coming to our next meeting where you will find several people who speak your language, share your passion, and know the struggles of the writer intimately. Each meeting is split into three acts: THE BOUNCE (a new addition), THE READ, and THE ROUND TABLE. We grab a bite to eat at the counter, and convene in the conference room at 6 pm and BOUNCE. The Bounce is about 20-30 minutes where anyone can throw an idea out in the room and see how it plays among people of your own ilk. After that, comes THE READ. Exactly what it sounds like. We assign parts and read someone's screenplay, short story, or novel. We usually have enough time for about 30-40 pages. Then we end with THE ROUN
