Description
This is the oldest Catholic church in Memphis, and, befitting a church that holds such a superlative, it has a long and storied past. The facility, built in majestic Gothic style, was dedicated in 1856. Prior to that, another church existed on this site, and the current structure was built around it. The interior church was then removed piece by piece. This church is most notable for its unique pinnacles and towers designed by acclaimed architect Patrick Keely. Visitors are welcome during church office hours.
