South Main Historic Arts District

This artsy little district has been described by locals as "a bite of the Big Apple with a dash of Southern hospitality." In recent years it has become one of the hottest neighborhoods in Memphis for its attractive loft-style living and its many shops and restaurants. Scattered throughout the area are businesses like Muse, a popular clothing boutique, and Hollis Arts Studio/ Gallery. Also located here are some of the city's most famous restaurants and bars, like Gus's World Famous Fried Chicken and Ernestine & Hazel's.
