Description
So impressive that it's served as the setting for a number of Hollywood legal dramas, this substantial courthouse is a grand example of Neoclassical Revival architecture. Its exterior is Tennessee blue limestone; its interior is rich with marble, mahogany, brass, and gracious furnishings. Outside, six enormous marble sculptures personify such qualities as Peace and Wisdom. The third-floor law library is an especially appealing haven. Completed in 1910.
